I am an out of network provider, which means that the client is required to make payment in full for services provided. I am able, with permission, to release information to the client that is needed for the client to use in submission for reimbursement under insurance.
Typically, the first therapy session will be an opportunity for the therapist to learn about various aspects of the client's history and for the client to gain a sense of how the therapist approaches the therapeutic process. This allows the client to make an informed decision regarding continuation of services. What happens in subsequent sessions will vary from therapist to therapist dependent upon the modes of therapy and techniques in which they are trained. The therapist will customize sessions using modes and techniques which will most benefit the client.
Therapy sessions with Chris lean heavily toward a collaborative approach in which he listens to what the client is saying and provides feedback that is designed to create in the client a clear awareness of their thoughts and behaviors and the results of those behaviors. Throughout this process the client will be provided the education and tools with which they can practice to achieve improved results.
The number of sessions required to complete the therapeutic process will vary from client to client depending upon the nature of the issue and the form of therapy being provided. The appropriate number of sessions will be agreed upon by both the client and the therapist based on the complexity of the presenting issue.
